인간 질병의 분자 의학적 이해를 위해 삼성 생명과학 연구소가 해마다 주최하는 "삼성 분자의학 국제 심포지움(Samsung International Symposium on Molecular Medicine)"을 올해 그 일곱 번째 해를 맞아 "Translational Research in Cancer"를 주제로 개최하게 되었습니다.
이번 심포지움에는 독일 암연구 센터의 소장이며 Papiloma virus가 자궁 경부암의 원인임을 밝힌 Harald zur Hausen 박사, DNA replication 과 Cancer marker의 세계적 권위자인 Ronald A. Laskey 박사와 Alternative lengthening of telomere의 기전으로 유명한 Roger R. Reddel 박사등 국내외의 저명한 학자 여덟 분을 모시고 분자의학 지식을 통한 암의 이해를 주제로 연구 발표와 토론의 자리를 마련하고자 합니다.
제 7회 삼성 분자의학 국제 심포지움이 뜻 깊고 활발한 토론의 장이 되어 국내 암 연구 발전에 미력이나마 도움이 될 수 있도록 여러분의 적극적인 성원과 많은 참석 바랍니다.
