다음은 Harvard Medical School의 Dr. Freeman으로 부터 온 편지입니다.
Dr. Freeman은 이번  MRC symposium에 초청받아 온 교수님으로서 분자생물학교실에서 박사를 받은 김 자영 선생의 현재 지도교수이기도 합니다. Dr. Freeman의 도움으로 김 자영 선생은 내년도에 Harvard Medical School의 교수 (instructor)로 발령이 날 예정입니다 (11월 24일 자 대학주보 김 자영 인터뷰란 참조).

아래 글에서도 볼 수 있듯이 Dr. Freeman은 경희의대의 졸업생들과 경희의대 발전을 위하여 자기가 할 수 있는 일은 다 하겠다고 약속하였습니다. 이 외에도 이번 심포지움에 참석한 많은 분들이 경희의대를 열심히 도와주겠다고 하였습니다. 많은 경희의대 졸업생들이 이러한 분들의 도움을 받아 훌륭한 의학자로 태어 날 수 있기를 희망합니다.

Dear Dr. Kim,

Thank you so much for a truly spectacular visit. It was a simply
wonderful experience and I really appreciate all your time, effort and
expense in hosting me. It was one of my best trips ever. I was serious
about helping you with English in your manuscripts as the need arises.
Please take me up on that when the time comes.

My colleague, Dr. Keith Solomon, a Harvard-trained
biochemist/immunologist and a collaborator with my group on signal
transduction through lipid rafts in prostate and other cell types is
looking for a postdoctoral fellow for an NIH-sponsored project on
prostate cancer. I mentioned to him that you might know a talented
individual who would potentially be interested in this position. The
successful candidate would work predominantly with Keith, but because
his group and mine are working closely together, he/she would also have
the benefit of all the resources and personnel in my laboratory.
Keith's lab and mine are in the same building on adjacent floors.
Please let me know if you hear of someone.
